The farm has turned so many beautiful shades of green in celebration of this prolific season! We hope this finds you well. Whether you are a new patient or an old friend, we would like to welcome you and describe some of our new services and events: 

 

Doctor's Farm Market–Opening in June! 

 

Saturdays from 9-2 

 

Our newest attraction, the Doctor's Farm Market at Ethos Health,will open to all on SaturdayJune 11. Market hours will be from 9:00 am to2:00 pm each Saturday through the end of October. Come see our doctor and farmers and their nourishing, seasonal vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs for sale in the small stone cottage. Signs will direct you once you arrive.  

 

AYOML Class Registration  

 

Classes provide the foundation of the A Year of Mindful Living program. There are 3 kinds of classes open to members each month: 

 

  1. AYOML Classes, offered at the Farm once per month on the second Tuesday and following Saturday. On-Line AYOML Classes are offered once per month on the third Wednesday. 

  2. Real Life Application Classes offered Tuesdays andFridays throughout each month. 

  3. On-Line Support Sessions offered once per month on the third Tuesday.

A Mindful Kitchen Cooking Classes 

 

Our newest cooking classes have been designed especially for AYOML2 members, but will also be open to the public.Based on skills mentioned in EC8 – Cooking and Storing Methods, these classes area great opportunity to join up and bring a friend or family member. 

 

In each class,Karina will create plant-based, global, seasonal recipes while demonstrating practical cooking techniques to help you learn more about oil and salt-free recipe adaptations.These classes make  great gift for Dad or someone you love! 

 

Cooking Class 1 –The Mindful Kitchen: Cooking Methods that Heal and Energize

Cooking Class 2 –The Mindful Kitchen: Knife Skills to Simplify Your Life

Registration information: 

AYOML2 members-$28per class  

All other participants -$40 per class  

Please mail or drop off a check to the Medical Office by close of business on Friday before class. Checks may be made payable to Ethos Health, with Cooking Class and Date in the memo line.Payment must made/received by the Medical Office by the Friday before classes.    

 

Class size is limited to 12 – please register early to ensure your seat!

New Ethos Cooking with a Buddy Program 

 

Get comfortable in the kitchen with our new Cooking with a Buddy Program. You can join Cheryl Kennedy for an individualized session in the Ethos Health Kitchen. Cheryl will share her knowledge of kitchen skills and AYOML food preparation in a stress-free, one-on-one teaching atmosphere to ensure your success in your own kitchen. Sessions began in February 2016 at the Ethos Medical Office Kitchen. There is a fee to attend these sessions. Please email Cheryl at Cheryl@myethoshealth.com for more information.

In the Event of an Emergency 

 

In the event of an urgent health matter, you can reach Dr. Weiss by calling our main number (908-867-0060) and selecting patient option (option 1).Then select 1 for the Medical Office or 2 to reach Dr. Weiss directly (you may need to leave a message). 

 

 In the event of a true medical emergency, call 911 and proceed as directed to the nearest emergency facility. 

 

Please remember to reach out to our office to let us know of any changes or concerns regarding your health and wellness! 

 

Tips from Asha 

 

  • Pay close attention to and follow theTo Do List that Dr. Weiss gives you after each appointment. This is your customized health plan, and it will help to attach it to your kitchen wall or refrigerator for easy access! Call the office if you have any questions about your personal List! 

  • Make follow-up appointments with Dr. Weiss as he has noted in your customized plan! 

  • You should NOT be thinking “How can I get comfortable?” 

  • You need to be thinking “How can I get uncomfortable,” because this is the place where we are able to learn, grow, and reach our FULL potential 

  • If you keep pushing yourself and keep feeling uncomfortable, I promise you, you will have a very comfortable life 

  • Please complete all homework assignments to deepen your understanding of these important topics! 

  • Practice recipes and kitchen methods to support your success in making the changes that support your goals!
